About Dr. Basilious:
Prior to coming to the USA, Dr. Ashraf Basilious served as assistant pastor and director of pastoral training in Cairo, Egypt, and as the senior pastor of the Arabic Evangelical Church in Dubai, United Arab of Emirates.

1. What is your favorite book?
The Bible in the Arabic language, and “Sermon on the Mount” by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

2. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy time with my family and playing soccer. My wife, Manal, and I enjoy playing table tennis together.

3. Who has been your greatest spiritual influence?
My pastor, several faculty mentors (especially Dr. Herman Austel, professor of OT at Northwest Baptist Seminary), and my parents.

4. What goals do you have for your students?         
I want them to develop a biblical worldview and have the tools that will enable them to interpret the Biblical text correctly. Above all I want them to develop a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus and His Word.
