About Mrs. Jacobs:
Dawn Jacobs has served alongside her husband for 30 years in three different ministries, all related to Christian education. It has been an adventure following wherever God leads. She graduated from BBC with a Bible degree in the Local Church program. When she and her husband married and pulled away from BBC to begin service in Indiana, they both felt that God would bring them back to BBC some day. And sure enough, 13 years after graduating they came back to serve at BBC in 1990. They were dorm parents in Shaffer Hall for seven years. Dawn has been an administrative assistant to Jim Huckaby, Glenn Amos, and with BBC Foundation. In 2004, she began working in the Communications Department as a Graphic Designer and has taught in the Office Professionals program since 1995.

Insight Questions

1. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy cooking and hanging out with my family. I had my first grandchild, Marie Love, in 2008 and that has been a blast.

2. Who has been your greatest spiritual influence?
My father. I was able to observe a man totally sold out to God and living a holy life in this sinful world. He was an amazing example and encourager to me and his death in 2000 created a void in my life that has never been filled. He was a wonderful example in a small way of my Heavenly Father. I never cease to thank the Lord for allowing me to have that kind of a father.

3. What goals do you have for your students?
I desire to train my Office Professionals students to be servants to the Lord first and then serve their employers with a humble spirit whether they be working in a Christian or secular office. This can be accomplished by having excellent technical skills and people skills in addition to their personal walk with God.
