About Dr. Lytle:
Dr. Lytle joined the BBC faculty in 1980. He served until 1993 in the Biblical Studies Division, and at various times served as Dean of Men and Director of Summer Ministries. He led Teen Leadership Conference for eight years. The Lytle family lived in Barndollar Hall for four years when Mrs. Lytle served as the resident director there. In 1993, Dr. and Mrs. Lytle joined ABWE and spent 14 years as missionaries in Durban, South Africa. They planted Bethany Baptist Church and Dr. Lytle was the President of Baptist Bible College of KwaZulu-Natal. The Lytles returned to BBC in January, 2007. They have three married daughters who live in California.

Insight Questions
1. What is your favorite book?
I read a lot, so it is difficult to name a favorite. Outside of the Bible and some basic Christian life works, I have been enjoying Joseph Ellis’ books on the people who shaped the American Revolution and government.

2. What are your hobbies?
 Gardening and remote control flying.

3. Who has been your greatest spiritual influence?
The longer I am saved, the more I realize that it is crucial to receive spiritual input from a variety of people and not to follow just one.

4. What goals do you have for your students?         
I want them to know God (who has provided everything we need for life and godliness through knowledge of Him) through His Word (which equips us for the good works that He has saved us to complete). I want them to love the study of God’s Word and actually study it!
