Jesus commanded His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” At BBC, we prepare young men and women for a life of answering this mandate.

Our Missions program is designed to broaden your perspective by immersing you in God’s Word and equipping you for cross-cultural ministry. If your goal is to reach the lost through missions, our goal is to prepare you to do just that.

Our professors, former missionaries themselves, are deeply passionate about God’s Word and will assist you in developing the abilities necessary for living out the love of Christ in various cultures.

Core courses
We give you a strong foundation to understand and apply biblical truth through 42 hours of Bible and theology courses. A required set of General Studies courses supplements that foundation and enables you to consider the world in which you will minister.

You will then build on this foundation with 40 credit hours studying the specific disciplines of your field and determining how you can best apply your unique strengths, gifts, and abilities. The core courses of this program include the following:

Church Planting and Church Growth
Cross-cultural Communications
Dynamics of Discipleship
Missionary Anthropology
Missions Seminar
World Religions

Making the program your own
You will complete a supervised, six-week missions apprenticeship. Your adviser will help you find the mission field that best matches your interests and abilities.

Opportunities vary from teaching English as a second language in China and helping with writing ministries in Togo to church-planting in just about any city or rural region. The options available to you truly are endless. During these six weeks, you will put your education into action, earn academic credits, and make a difference in the lives of people around the world.

We know the process of leaving school and entering the mission field can be intimidating. That’s why we offer a Missions Seminar course designed to prepare you for that transition. Our desire is to give you more than an education; we want to do everything we can to help you reach the global ministry location to which you have been called.

Many options after graduation
You will graduate with the equivalent of a double major in Bible and Missions. You will be ready to apply for candidacy at a mission agency.

Mission agencies readily accept out graduates. This is primarily due to the solid Bible education and the emphasis on the necessary tools for cross-cultural ministry that you will receive here at BBC. Our graduates have been accepted by missions agencies such as the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, Baptist Mid-Missions, and Evangelical Baptist Missions.

Our graduates are active all over the world in countries like South Africa , Ecuador , Italy , Ghana , Japan , Brazil , Chile , Peru , Germany , France , Canada , Hong Kong , Australia , and more. Many of our graduates pursue specific ministries, such as teaching the Bible, working on a pastoral staff, youth and women’s ministries, or church-planting on the mission field.

What they say
“The graduates of Baptist Bible College stand tall among the ABWE missionary family around the world. Their education, training, experience, and giftedness enable their sending church and ABWE to make sure they are used to the fullest extent for the glory of God in His work worldwide.”
- Don Trott, Executive Director of Missionary Mobilization at ABWE

“The issues we face ministering in Europe are often complex and require clear, biblical thinking. To prepare me for this, the Lord used the Missions program at BBC to give me the solid theological foundation, as well as the practical understanding of cultural issues, which are essential for world missions. The emphasis placed upon ministry and missions at BBC was contagious.”
- Jeff Demerly, BBC graduate, missionary with ABWE in Slovakia

“The most valuable lesson I have learned is viewing the Bible as my final authority. Culturally, things are always going to look different, but I need to view everyone and everything through the Word of God. I am going to South Africa for my missionary apprenticeship, and I will be involved in discipleship, Bible studies, sports ministries, and wilderness ministries.”
- Bethany Gibson, BBC student
